Caramel Popcorn is a confection that is made up of popped popcorn which is coated with a sugar based caramel candy shell. It is a sugar solution or syrup that is made and heated until it browns and becomes thick resulting in a caremelised candy syrup. This hot candy syrup is then mixed with popped popcorn and allowed to cool down.
